What is Wi-Fi 7?

Wi-Fi 7 is the next generation of wireless internet technology, offering significantly faster speeds (up to 46 Gbps theoretical), lower latency, and improved reliability compared to previous standards like Wi-Fi 6E. Key features include the ability for devices to connect on multiple bands simultaneously using Multi-Link Operation (MLO), larger channel bandwidths, and more advanced modulation techniques. While devices started to appear in 2024, 2025 is considered the big year for the technology's rollout, and it is backward compatible with older Wi-Fi standards.

Better performance: Users can expect a substantial performance improvement, particularly for tasks such as 8K video streaming, high-resolution video calls, and online gaming.

Enhanced stability in crowded areas: Technologies like AP coordination improve performance in crowded environments like airports or stadiums by helping devices and access points communicate more efficiently.
